Who we are
Citizenshiptest.co.nz is an independent study site for people preparing for the New Zealand citizenship test. We are not connected to the New Zealand Government, the Department of Internal Affairs, or any official body.
What we collect
The only personal information we collect is the email address you give us when you join the waitlist. We do not use tracking pixels or third-party analytics that follow you around the web.
Why we collect it
We use your email address to:
- Tell you when the Department of Internal Affairs releases official study materials
- Tell you when a test fee is announced
- Tell you when our practice site is ready
We will not send you anything else.
How we store it
The waitlist is in development. While the site is in preview, the form does not yet send your email to a server. Once we connect a real email provider, we will update this page with the provider's name and where they store data. We will not start storing emails before this page is updated.
Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your email address with anyone. The only exception is the email service we use to send you updates, who will hold your address only to deliver our messages.
Your rights under the NZ Privacy Act 2020
You have the right to:
- Ask what information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct it
- Ask us to delete it
- Unsubscribe from our emails at any time, using the link in every message we send

Cookies
This site does not set tracking cookies. If we add basic, privacy-friendly traffic analytics later (so we know how many people visit), we will only do so without identifying you personally, and we will update this page.
Changes
If we make changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. If the changes are significant, we will email everyone on the waitlist before the changes take effect.
