Practice questions for the NZ citizenship test

From late 2027, most people applying for New Zealand citizenship by grant will need to pass a citizenship test. The questions below are unofficial practice questions, written from publicly available legislation and government guidance. They are not the real test.

Important: The Department of Internal Affairs has not released the official study materials yet. These are practice questions only, written from publicly available material such as the Bill of Rights Act 1990 and information on govt.nz. They are not the real citizenship test questions.
